If it had not been through [our] collaboration, I don’t think we would have ended up doing what we’re doing today. This is the second time around that I’ve worked with David. The first time was with GroupMe when he led the Series B. We’ve built a deep relationship between GroupMe, the Microsoft/Skype acquisition and now Fundera.
Like a co-founder
David’s a close friend and a mentor. I really view him more like a co-founder. I bounced the idea off him for over a year and a half. He’s so much more than an investor; more like a coach and partner in the business. It’s the best configuration possible.
